When do we collect your data?

  6. When you enter prize draws or contests.
  7. We collect data from publicly available sources (such as the land registry) when you have given your consent to the sharing of information or when the information is made public by law.
  8. When you enter our stores or offices, video surveillance systems work for the safety of both customers. These systems may record your image during your visit.
  9. In order to provide you with the best online experience, we collect technical information about your internet connection and browser, as well as the country code and telephone code where your computer is located, the web pages viewed during your visit, the advertisements you clicked on , and any search terms you are logged in.
  10. We may also store your social media username if you interact with us through those channels to help us respond to your comments, questions or feedback, or use login with social media.

When do we collect your data?

If you have a web account with us, we store:

  1.  your name, billing/delivery address, orders and receipts, email and telephone number 
  2. information gathered by the use of cookies in your web browser
  3. details of your visits to our websites or apps, and which site you came from to ours
  4. personal details which help us to recommend items of interest
  5. payment card information.

How and why we collect your data

We want to give you the best possible customer experience. To do this, we use the data we have relating to your use of our website, and social interactions with us, to deliver more personalized content.

  • to protect our customers, premises, assets and from crime, we operate CCTV systems in our stores which record images for security. We do this based on our legitimate business interests.
  • to process payments and to prevent fraudulent transactions. we do this based on our legitimate business interests. this also helps to protect our customers from fraud.
  • if we discover any criminal activity or alleged criminal activity through our use of CCTV, fraud monitoring, and suspicious transaction monitoring, we will process this data to prevent or detect unlawful acts. We aim to protect the individuals we interact with from criminal activities.
  • with your consent, we will use your data, preferences, and details of your transactions to keep you informed by email, web, telephone, and through our customer service team about relevant products and services including tailored special offers, discounts, promotions, events, competitions and so on. you are free to opt-out of hearing from us via any of these channels at any time.
  • to develop, test, and improve the systems, services, and products we provide to you. we’ll do this based on our legitimate business interests.
  • to display the most interesting content to you on our websites or apps, we’ll use data we hold about your favorite brands or products and so on. we do so based on your consent to receive app notifications and/or for our website to place cookies or similar technology on your device.
  • to administer any of our prize draws or competitions which you enter, based on your consent given at the time of entering.

What are your rights over personal data?

You have the right to request:

  • that we stop using your data for direct marketing (either through specific channels, or all channels).
  • that we stop any consent-based processing of your data after you withdraw that consent.

You have the right to request a copy of any information about you that we hold at any time, to have that information corrected if it is inaccurate plus the right to be forgotten.

How can you stop the use of direct marketing?

There are several ways you can stop receiving direct marketing communications from us:

  •  Click the ‘unsubscribe link in any email communication that we send you. we will then stop any further emails from that particular division.

When you use login with social media

We collect your public profile data only from your consent that you grant before initiating Social Login, from the social network used to login at our website. This data includes your first name, last name, email address, link to your social media profile, unique identifier, link to social profile avatar. This data is used to create your user profile at our website. You can revoke this consent at any time from your profile page at our website or by sending us an email.

Log Files

kayokka follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.

Cookies and Web Beacons

Like any other website, kayokka uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.
